Some highlights from 2020:
All our groups have continued to meet online!
New groups are starting in Canada, Portugal, Norway and Italy;
We have this new cross-current website with outstanding content connecting faith and work;
We ran our first online conference for 200 participants - some content can be viewed here;
We are close to completing  our Cross-Current Curriculum;
Modules 1-3 translated into Spanish;
Leaders’ Guides for modules 1-5;
We have produced a 'Gateway to Cross-Current' eLearning course.

It feels like till now we have been just scratching the surface!
Over the next five years, if it is the Lord’s will, we have the potential to serve globally  through IFES national movements and churches.

John Stott in 2003 described the work of IFES Graduate Impact as the most strategic work in the church in Europe.

He saw the direction that ever-increasing secularism would take in driving a Christian voice into the margins, and the way that the 20th Century's growing rejection of the biblical God, would leave society without a strong, prophetic Christian voice. Here now in the 21st Century the need is ever more apparent and this emerging generation of Christian adults are the future of Christian influence in our societies - salt and light.

Our nations desperately need the voice of reasoned biblical Christianity to bring justice without obsession with power, to bring community bound to clear concepts of identity, to bring creation care with a deeper significance than selfish-altruism. People willing to invest time in pursuing biblical truth as it applies to the complex uncertainties of our ever evolving world. People willing to both speak and live out of the hope of the Kingdom coming.

By helping people connect their faith and their work, Cross-Current results in:

Individual flourishing. Christians who learn to see the relevance of Jesus to their work and vice versa will live more integrated lives.

Personal witness. Christians who learn to live with Christlike character at work as an integral support to their personal claims about the reality of biblical truth.

Christian influence in society. Christians who see how Christian integrity in professional life can give them the opportunity to bring blessing to their workplaces, professions and societies.

How does Cross-Current help?

Meeting the need...

Over the next years we will invest in training and equipping leaders to run Cross-Current groups in their own countries.

In Mexico we work with 40 leaders who are running 8 groups with 150 participants. This vastly increases our capacity, and also the Mexican groups deliver training in a contextually & linguistically sensitive way.

We are looking for leaders interested in running Cross-Current groups for the benefit of young adults in their countries.

We continue to develop online and physical training resources to support leaders and participants.

We are supporting the translation of our resources into Spanish, French, Mandarin, Norwegian, Italian, Romanian and Russian.

We are looking for people who share our vision for helping the next generation of young adults and who can help us start new groups - maybe you can teach, maybe you have experience, maybe you can do admin...

The way this work has grown gives us the sense that God is at work through this ministry equipping the next generation of young Christian adults in countries all around the world.

This work is financed independently from all other IFES ministry. For nearly 20 years the Lord has provided all the funds needed for this project (scholarships, travel costs, resource costs and salaries).

But we are just reaching the end of a large three year grant and we need your help to keep this work going.
